Iran PressEurope: Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative at the United Nations office in Vienna and the representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency. while expressing deep concern about a part of the report of the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said: All the nuclear remedial measures carried out by Iran are in line with Tehran's rights under the JCPOA.

According to Iran Press, Mohsen Naziri Asl, Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative at the United Nations office in Vienna and the representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, attended the quarterly meeting of the Council of Governors and presented the latest positions and views of Tehran to the representatives of the countries.

Naziri pointed out that the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA is the main cause of the current situation, and added: " No one should forget that the failure of the E3 and the European Union in fulfilling their obligations and resolving the clear violation of Resolution 2231 by the United States has left no choice for the Islamic Republic of Iran except to appeal to its rights under paragraphs 26 and 36."

Further, while blaming some countries that are parties to the JCPOA, who want Iran to implement the JCPOA by reading the statement and distorting the reality, he added to address the members of the Council of Governors: "These countries not only deliberately mix voluntary obligations with legal obligations, but also they tried their best to hide a very real fact, which is that the JCPOA has other participants as well as annexes that should be implemented by those participants without further delay."

Naziri Asl also expressed deep concern about a part of the IAEA Director General's report and added: " All the nuclear remedial measures taken by Iran are in line with Iran's rights under the JCPOA."

Referring to the IAEA Director General's report, he explained examples of Iran's good cooperation level with the IAEA and added: "The details of the Director General's reports are a strong manifestation of the unparalleled level of transparency in Iran's nuclear program and activities based on the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement with the IAEA."

Naziri Asl went on to talk about the process of revitalizing the JCPOA and said: "Despite the exhausting negotiations that lasted for more than 18 months, due to the lack of political will and American determination, we could not bring it to a conclusion."

He added: "We have announced our readiness to end the negotiations. Unfortunately, despite many initiatives from Iran, the United States has not been able to take advantage of the generous opportunity provided by the members of the JCPOA to correct its past mistakes."

Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative at the United Nations office in Vienna went on to point out that regardless of the JCPOA, Iran has increased its cooperation with the IAEA in the future to deal with the remaining issues, and added: "Given the recent engagement and consultations with the Agency and the positive outlook for addressing the remaining safeguards issues, we believe the situation is ripe for negotiations to come to a conclusion. "

At the end, the representative of Iran called on all parties to the JCPOA to continue working in a process that leads to an amicable solution to the issue of mutual concern, and added: "Iran is determined to achieve this goal, and we currently need more than words to take concrete action in line with our common goals, and we must refrain from pursuing limited political interests, because it endangers all past achievements."
