Armenia (IP) - Iran's Ambassador to Yerevan and the Armenian Police Chief discussed further security cooperation between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Abbas Zohouri and Armenia's Vahe Ghazarian discussed on Friday the cooperation between the two countries for dealing with crimes, the exchange of specialized delegations between, and issues related to the Iranian nationals in Armenia.

Ghazarian appreciated Iran's security cooperation with Armenia, which was based on the 2012 agreement signed, and announced that Armenia established a new police department that dealt with drug smuggling in cyberspace. 

The Iranian envoy for his part stressed the further cooperation between Iran and Armenia and welcomed the establishment of an expert police department in Syunik Province which would promote the level of security cooperation between the two countries.
