Iran Press/ Iran News: The Asian Championship boxing matches started on Tuesday, November 1st in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and will continue until November 12th. The Iranian team participated in this event with 12 boxers, and 10 representatives of our country were eliminated.
Tofan Sharifi, a 92 kg boxer from our country, fought with Parenko Sergi from Kyrgyzstan, who was declared the winner by the judges in the second round and secured his bronze medal.
To qualify for the finals, Sharifi will have to fight with Aibek Oralbay, the 2018 Youth Olympic gold medalist and 2018 World Youth silver medalist from Kazakhstan, on Thursday.
Earlier, Seyed Shahin Mousavi had secured his bronze medal by reaching the semi-finals.219
