Tehran(IP)- The secretary of the 30th Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that the first book internet television channel has been launched in the country to achieve a new Islamic civilization in Iranian society.

Iran PressIran News: Ali Ramezani, the CEO of Iran Book and Literature House and the secretary of the 30th Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is speaking as the keynote speaker of the event, said that the first book internet television channel had been launched in Islamic Iran.

He added that the book's exclusive network was planned and established on virtual platforms.

Ramezani said: "On November 15, like every year, we will honor librarians all across Iran."

According to the CEO of Iran Book and Literature House, in this year's theme, "We are the ones who read," all different classes of readers have been addressed; many of them have reached their current position by passing through the path of reading books."

He went on to say that creating a platform to improve the level of public awareness and knowledge, providing a base for cultural guidance of the society in the direction of a wise, hopeful and lively life among the general public and in a transcendental horizon, preparing the society to achieve the new Islamic civilization is among the missions of this online television channel.

Qom to host National Book Fair of Holy Defense

He said that the National Book Fair of Holy Defense will be held in Iran's Qom, with the presence of 90 publishers and six thousand book titles, and will continue until November 18.

He added that 90 publishers would attend the event, and it will showcase some six thousand book titles for enthusiasts.

116 million copies of printed book signal revitalization of Iran's publishing industry in post-COVID era 

In his remarks, he also said that since last year's Book Week, about 116 million copies of books had been published in the country.

He further stated: "This amount of production shows that the group of publishers returned to their activities after the COVID-19 pandemic and met the needs of their audience."
