Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe emphasized the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met Zimbabwean Deputy Foreign Minister David Musabayana in Tehran on Saturday, on the sidelines of the first meeting of "National Coordinators of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations" in Tehran.

Referring to the previous meeting that was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting, Iran's Foreign Minister emphasized the will of the high-ranking officials of Iran and Zimbabwe for the promotion of relations and the need to use the capacities of the two countries.

In this meeting, the two sides emphasized the need to speed up the holding of the joint commission on cooperation between Iran and Nigeria and the expansion of economic relations.

The first meeting of the National Coordinators of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations was held on Saturday, November 5, with the presence of Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and deputy ministers, representatives and envoys of the member countries in Tehran.

In this meeting, the representatives of different countries expressed their views on the most important international issues and while criticizing the prevalence of unilateralism in the world, they considered the mission and responsibility of this group to be the effort to promote multilateralism in the world as the only antidote to the hegemony of the West.
