Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met the Nicaraguan Ambassador to Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, Mohamed Farrara Lashtar, in a meeting on Saturday stressed enhancing bilateral relations in the economic fields.

Iran PressIran News: Amir-Abdollahian met and held talks with Lashtar on the sidelines of the 'First session of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations in Tehran, Iran.

Regarding the high level of political ties between the two states, Amir-Abdollahian stressed the need to develop relations between the two countries in the economic areas.

Amirabdollahian thanked Nicaragua's president and vice president for offering condolences to Iran over Shah Cheragh terrorist attack.

Lashkar, for his part, expressed his country's willingness to develop comprehensive relations with Iran, especially in the economic and commercial fields.

Iran FM meeting with Palestinian DFM Omar Awadallah

On Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said that the Zionist regime is facing multifaceted economic and political problems in the occupied lands.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Palestinian Deputy Foreign Minister Omar Awadallah, which took place on the sidelines of an ongoing diplomatic conference in Tehran.

The Iranian foreign minister stressed the need to address the Palestinian issue and the destructive measures by the Zionist regime, which he said were also reflected in the final statement of the Tehran meeting.  

The Palestinian official, for his part, appreciated Iran's support for the people of Palestine.

After hosting the first 'Forum of National Coordinators of the Group of Friends for Defending UN Charter' with the participation of Algeria, Angola, Belarus, Bolivia, Cambodia, China, Cuba, North Korea, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Iran, Laos, Nicaragua, Palestine, Russia, Saint Vincent, and the Grenadines, Syria, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe in Tehran, Iran foreign minister met China's ambassador to Iran, Chang Hua, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Julio Ron Martine.

Formed in 2021, the group aimed at protecting, promoting, and defending the superiority and credit of the UN Charter, with the participation of 19 countries, including Iran.
