Kostroma (IP) – At least 17 people were killed and injured by an overnight fire at a nightclub on Saturday in Russia's western city of Kostroma.

Iran PressEurope: "According to preliminary data, there are 13 deaths already and 4 more people are injured,"  a spokesperson of regional emergency services told Sputnik on Saturday.

The fire erupted overnight at a club and restaurant and spread over 3,500 square meters.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, 250 people had been evacuated from the building.

The spokesperson highlighted that the building's roof collapsed due to the fire.
