Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell held a phone talk on the removal of anti-Iran sanctions on Wednesday.

Iran PressIran news: "Iran has presented its viewpoints to the American side with a constructive and forward-looking approach," Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told Josep Borrell.

During the phone call, the two sides discussed the latest developments related to Vienna talks on the removal of anti-Iran sanctions, bilateral ties, and the Ukraine war.

Referring to conveying Iran's messages to the US through the European Union's mediating role, the Iranian foreign minister announced the Islamic Republic's readiness to reach a good, strong, and durable agreement.

Amir-Abdollahian underlined that Iran had presented its views in a constructive and forward-looking approach to the US side over the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

He pointed to the Iran-IAEA cooperation and stated that the agreement for good and strong cooperation between Iran and the Agency is ongoing.

Earlier on Wednesday, Amir-Abdollahian noted that a delegation from Iran would depart for Vienna for talks with IAEA officials.

Josep Borrell, for his part, condemned the ISIS terrorist attack in Iran's Shiraz once again and condoled the victims' families.

Borrell commented on conveying Iran’s message to the US side and said that the European Union would continue its constructive efforts until reaching the final agreement.
