Tehran (IP) - In a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Iran's foreign minister referred to the recent terrorist attack in Shiraz, saying that Iran has always proudly overcome the plots of enemies.

Iran PressIran News: In the terrorist attack on Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz on October 26, 13 people, including two children, were martyred and 40 pilgrims were injured.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated in a phone conversation with Türkiye's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu that in the past weeks, some enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran tried to foment insecurity and instability by abusing the recent events and prepare the ground for ISIS terrorist attack.

Amir-Abdollahian added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has witnessed such conspiracies many times and has always overcome them proudly.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran also referred to the accident in one of Türkiye's mines that resulted in the death and injury of a number of citizens of this country, expressing his condolences to the government and the people of Türkiye; he wished for a speedy recovery for those injured in this incident.

In the phone call, Amir- Abdollahian also congratulated Türkiye on its National Day.

During the event, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed his gratitude for the congratulatory message on the country's National Day and stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Türkiye are not just two neighboring countries, but two brother countries that have always been standing by each other in good and bad times.

Condemning the terrorist attack in Shiraz, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye once again expressed condolences on behalf of the government and people of Türkiye and emphasized that his country is always with Iran to fight terrorism.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also once again welcomed the process of talks between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan and noted that both countries are friends of Türkiye and the friendship between these two countries makes Ankara happy.
