Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Germany's Ambassador to Tehran on Thursday.

Iran PressIran news: Following the interventionist comments of Germany's Foreign Minister about Iran's interior affairs, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani summoned the German ambassador Hans-Udo Muzel.

Bagheri said such provocative comments by some of the German officials were against international law and incompatible with the long-standing ties between Iran and Germany. 

He condemned the acts of some western countries in leading the Iranians' protests to unrest and noted: "Violence and lawlessness are not only in conflict with the right of peaceful protests, but also disrupt public order and the security of citizens."

He also pointed to the terrorist attack on Shahchragh Shrine in Shiraz and called such terrorist actions along the string of violence-waging moves that the US and some European countries support.

An armed assailant member of the ISIS terrorist group on Wednesday in an armed attack on Shah Cheragh, the holy shrine of Hazrat Ahmad bin Musa (AS), in the city of Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province, southern Iran, led to the martyrdom of 15 people, including two children, and the wounding of 27 pilgrims.

This terrorist act, for which ISIS has taken responsibility, was condemned by the United Nations and various world countries.

The top Iranian diplomat stressed that the country would never tolerate intervention in its affairs.
