Tehran (IP) - Iran's foreign minister left Tehran for Yerevan at the head of a political and parliamentary delegation, to meet and talk with the officials of the Republic of Armenia.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian visited the country on Thursday at the invitation of Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan at the head of a political and parliamentary delegation to meet and talk with the officials of the Republic of Armenia.

During his visit to Armenia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran will also participate in the official opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kapan, Armenia, in addition to meeting and talking with the officials of this country.

Iran and Armenia have many connections and affinities due to the long-standing relations between the two countries.

This positive history has been compelling in various aspects of the relations between the two countries, despite the existence of some problems caused by regional tensions; for this reason, Armenia enjoys a good position in economic and trade relations with Iran among the neighboring countries.
