Tehran(IP) - In a message, the President of Iran congratulated the Iranian nation Omid (U-23) national wrestling team's winning the World Championships in Spain.

Iran PressIran News: The U-23 world championship wrestling tournament, which started last Monday in Spain, ended Wednesday evening with the finals and categorizing five weight classes.

Iranian under-23 wrestling team with three gold medals for Poya Dadmarz in 55 kg, Iman Mohammadi in 63 kg and Seyed Daniyal Sohrabi in 67 kg, and three bronze medals for Amir Abdi in 72 kilograms, Ali Akbar Yousefi in 130 kg and Ali Abedi Darzi in 97 kg placed first in this competition.

Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian President, in a message congratulating the Iranian Omid national wrestling team's victory in the Spanish World Championships, wrote:

"The victory of the Omid national wrestling team brought joy and pride to all Iranians."

Raisi added: "This championship, which was won thanks to the efforts of Iran's young talents in the proud sport of wrestling, showed the ability and determination of our beloved youth."

Seyed Ebrahim Raisi further expressed his sincere appreciation to the Iranian Omid Greco-Roman wrestling team's athletes, coaches, and staff.
