Iran Press/ Iran News: While visiting the house of "Epidermolysis Bullosa" or EB patients in Tehran on Wednesday, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed his regret for the difficulties that have arisen due to the sanction on the sale of special dressings for these diseases.
Amir- Abdollahian said some foreign officials and institutions that played a role in the sanctions would be added to the terrorist blacklist of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran on Wednesday, and these people and institutions are the terrorist groups.
According to the minister of foreign affairs, at least four institutions and 15 Western officials are included in the sanctions list.
Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of rare inherited skin disorders that cause the skin to become very fragile. Any trauma or friction to the skin can cause painful blisters.
EB patients need Mepilex dressing to heal their wounds, which is imported from a Swedish company. Unfortunately, the US sanctions have prevented the export of atraumatic bandages to Iran. Even recently, the Swedish government rejected the petition by patients' lawyers for a license to force the Swedish Mölnlycke company to export special dressings for Iranian patients.
