Iran (IP) - Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force kicked off a military drill in the northern parts of Ardabil and Eastern Azerbaijan provinces, northwest of Iran, in the Aras region.

Iran PressIran News: The drill, named 'IRGC Ground Force Authority,' is held to implement the military body's missions and elevate the ground force's military preparedness. 

According to the IRGC Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, heliborne parachute operations, night raid operations, helicopter combat operations, and suicide drone operations are to be carried out in the exercise.

The creation of a bridge over the Aras River, the seizure and control of communication roads, and the heights and offensive destruction operation are other parts of the exercise.

General Pakpour said the message of the drill is peace and security for the neighboring countries and the potential for a tough response to the enemies.
