Iran Press/ Iran news: The fourth Asian Junior Athletics Championship is being held from October 13 to 16, with the participation of 30 countries, hosted by Kuwait. The Iranian national team has participated in these competitions with 25 athletes.
In the continuation of the Asian Junior Athletics Championship hosted by Kuwait, representatives of Iran faced their rivals.
Seyed Mohammad Sajjad Aghaei crossed the finish line as the first person in the final round of the 400m event with a time of 48.37 seconds and won the first gold medal of the Iranian national athletics team in the 2021 Asian Junior Championships.
Amir Hossein Zandi and Mohammad Reza Mahmudinejad placed fourth and sixth in the finals of the 110-meter competition with a time of 14.23 seconds and 14.60 seconds, respectively.
Earlier and on the first day of the competition, Iran won three medals; Melika Nowrozi and Mehdis Minaipour won silver and bronze respectively in the hammer throw. Arshiya Mosadeghi also won a silver medal in the javelin throw. 219
