Afghanistan (IP) - After about a year of pause, the Afghan airliner resumed its flights to Iran on Friday.

Iran PressAsia: The flights of Afghanistan's airliner to Iran were resumed as the tourism activists called for the cancellation of visas between the two countries.

The ceremony of resuming the fights was held with the attendance of a number of Iranian and Afghan officials and the representative from Ariana Afghan Airliner. 

Ariana Afghan Airliner's flights are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Earlier, Iran-Afghanistan direct flights were used to be carried out by an Iranian airliner. 

About one year ago, the US forces left Afghan soil after 20 years of invasion but left the country with its infrastructure ruined, including the airports.
