Tehran (IP) - People of Tehran have gathered in the city's Vali-e-Asr (AS) Sq. to celebrate the birthday anniversaries of the Grand Prophet of Islam(PBUH) and his grandson Imam Sadiq(AS), the sixth Imam of the Shia people, as the country has started to celebrate Islamic Unity Week from October 9, 2022.

Iran PressIran news:  Friday, October 14, coincides Rabi I 17, is the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Sadiq (AS), the sixth Imam of the Shia people. 

The Iranian people, either Sunni or Shia, have illuminated their cities, streets, quarters, and mosques and decorated them with flags, celebrating the birthday of the last Divine Messenger and six Imam of the Shias, displaying a beautiful scene of empathy and love. 

The sky in Tehran and other parts of the country was illuminated last night. 

Based on the Sunni Muslims' narration Rabi I 12 is the birthday of the Grand Prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH), and based on the Shia Muslims' narration Rabi 17 is the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On the initiative of Imam Khomeini Rabi I 12 to 17 (October 9 to 14) was named Unity Week.
