Iran Press/ Iran news: On the occasion of the auspicious birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS), the Leader of the Islamic Revolution agreed with the terms of pardoning or commuting the punishment of some 1,862 convicts.
In a letter to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Chief of the Judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejeie had called for pardoning or commuting the punishment of 1,862 convicts who had been found to be eligible for amnesty and pardon by the Amnesty and Clemency Commission.
