IP – Iran and Oman held a combined naval drill in the northern Indian Ocean on Wednesday morning.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Alborz destroyer, the Tonb ship of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army's Navy, the Martyr Nazari ship and the Martyr Yahyaei vessel of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy and vessels from the Oman Navy, with the support of some helicopters from the two countries, attended the drill.

Cementing relations and boosting military ties and interactions in designing and implementing joint naval drills, sharing information in the field of promoting maritime security with Oman and increasing the efficiency and skill of forces involved in operations were among the notable goals of the drill.

During the drill, various scenarios were designed and carried out between the floating and flying units of the two sides.

Conveying a message of peace and friendship to the countries bordering the Indian Ocean and maintaining safety and giving priority to the marine environment were among the other goals of the drill.
