Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of Iran's Parliament pointed out that today the lack of scrapping in the production line has created a problem and said that according to the law, fuel saving should be exercised.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in today's (Tuesday, October 11) open session of Iran's Parliament during the review of the details of the emergency bill to add a note to Article (10) of the Automobile Industry Organization Law approved in 1401, pointing out that in relation to this discussion, three components should be considered together.

He also said: "The production cycle should not be stopped, therefore today the lack of scrapping has created a problem in the production line."

The Speaker of Iran's Parliament added: "According to Article (8) of the Clean Air Law, a motorcycle that has worked for 20 years must be scrapped, but people cannot afford to scrap it because the purchasing power of these people does not allow a normal motorcycle to pay 40 million Tomans to buy."

Ghalibaf noted: Now a subsidy is given for the production of diesel, while a truck that has worked for 25 to 40 years consumes several liters of diesel per kilometer. It should also be noted that fuel saving should have been done in accordance with paragraph (q) of Note (12) and further scrapping was done accordingly.
