The foreign ministers of Iran and Iraq discussed the latest bilateral, regional and international developments.

Iran PressIran news: Referring to the movements of terrorist groups from the Iraqi Kurdistan region,  Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a phone call with Iraq's Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hossein, emphasized: "With the passage of 4 decades and despite the repeated commitments of the Iraqi Kurdistan region authorities, unfortunately, the movements of armed terrorist groups from this region against Iran's territorial security continue."

Amir-Abdollahian emphasized: "While respecting and adhering to the development of Tehran-Baghdad privileged relations, as emphasized by Iran's top military officials, Tehran will not tolerate the continued aggression of terrorist groups that have taken refuge in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and have targeted Iran's national security."

In this telephone conversation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran appreciated the efforts of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister of Iraq for the release of the detained Iranian pilgrim (Haji) in Saudi Arabia. 219
