Tehran (IP) - Tehran hosts the Nanotechnology Exhibition, which has showcased the latest achievements of Iranian startups and companies active in this field, providing significant investment opportunities for businessmen.

Iran PressIran News: The 13th edition of Iran’s Nanotechnology Exhibition is underway from October 1 to 4 here in Tehran.

Over 160 firms have put on display their products. Iran currently ranks 4th in the world in the production of nano-science.

The achievement comes after Iran adopted its second 10-year plan, which started in 2015, seeking to move nano-science from paper to the industry. In the meantime, the Nanotechnology Initiative Council is working on a third plan to trade Iranian nano-products in the global market.

Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the event, Saeed Sarkar, the Secretary General of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC), told Iran Press: “We are ready to enter any kind of collaboration with other countries.”

“There are three halls in this exhibition comprising 160 booths that showcase their products ranging from health care and lab machinery to different instruments, construction industry and hard coating,” Sarkar noted.

“Investors are visiting the exhibition who enter negotiations with Iranian knowledge-based companies and start cooperation with them,” he added.

According to him, the exhibition aims to turn science into technology and technology into products.

Currently, Iranian nanotech products are exported to 49 countries, including China, Turkey, and India. Over the past year, the total revenue from the export of Iranian nano-products and equipment stood at roughly 500 million dollars.
