Zahedan(IP)- Following a terrorist attack on a police station in Zahedan city, the capital of Sistan and Baluchistan province, southeast of Iran, which led to a heavy clash between the Iranian security forces and the terrorists, Seyyed Ali Mousavi, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps(IRGC) intelligence commander of Sistan and Baluchistan Province, was martyred while on duty to protect people's lives, Tasnim news agency reported.

Iran PressIran news: The Security Council of Sistan and Baluchistan province announced on Friday that while shelling the police station, the terrorists also threw several Molotov cocktails at the police station.

In this announcement, people were requested to avoid approaching gathering places while maintaining their peace.

Announcing that several passers-by and officers were injured in the attack of these unknown armed people on the police station and were taken to Zahedan hospitals, this announcement adds: The terrorists tried to destroy the wall and enter the police station, but they did not succeed.

According to Hussein Modarres Khiabani, the Governor of Sistan and Baluchistan province, the number of casualties in this incident is 19 dead and 20 injured.

In continuation of today's clashes between Iranian security forces and the terrorists in Zahedan, a few hours ago, a group of terrorists gathered near the Makki Mosque in Zahedan city and started shooting when the security forces immediately arrived in the area.

Unfortunately, in this incident, Seyed Ali Mousavi, the IRGC intelligence commander of Sistan and Baluchistan province, was injured by a bullet in the chest and was immediately taken to the hospital. He died in the hospital a few minutes ago due to the severity of his injuries.

Meanwhile, terrorists attacked 3 police stations in Zahedan and started shooting at 16 police stations in Zahedan. Also, in some areas of the city, the terrorists set fire to some tires and trash cans, and a bakery in another area was attacked by armed miscreants.

The deputy social police officer of Sistan and Baluchistan province announced that the situation in Zahedan city is calm and people's traffic is going well and said: Rumors that several people were killed in this conflict at the police station behind Makki Mosque are false.
