Iran Press/ America: In this meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, bilateral relations between Syria and Jordan and cooperation in line with their common interests were discussed.
Border security, the fight against drug trafficking and water and food security have been other issues in their discussion.
The two sides also discussed the attempt to achieve a political solution to the Syrian crisis that guarantees the integrity and preservation of the Syrian sovereignty, the return of security, stability and liberation from terrorism and the conditions needed for the return of displaced people.
In this meeting, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi emphasized the need to activate efforts to end the Syrian crisis, eliminate its consequences and fulfill the hope of the Syrian people while protecting the security and interests of Damascus. 219
