Iran Press/Iran news: The 16th edition of the IranPlast International Exhibition kicked off in Tehran on Wednesday morning.
The event is underway with 610 Iranian companies participating in the IranPlast expo in 15 halls to display their latest products and services while exhibiting them in the virtual space as well.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the IranPlast International Exhibition on Wednesday, Morteza Shahmirzai said by the next 10 years, the capacity of the country's petrochemical productions would have doubled, reaching 200 million tons.
Shahmirzai said: "Currently, Iran's petrochemical industry converts one million barrels of crude oil per day from hydrocarbon sources into valuable petrochemical materials; The nominal production capacity in 68 petrochemical complexes of Iran has reached near 90 million tons per year."
