Iran Press/ Middle East: With the contract signed between Iran and Qatar, Iran's position as the leading pole of saffron production and supply in the world, a big step will be taken to bring the price of Iranian saffron closer to the world market price.
According to the contract signed in Qatar, the first cargo of the Iranian saffron will be sent to Qatar in early October 2022.
The Ambassador of Iran to Qatar, Hamid-Reza Dehghani, and the Qatari Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmad al-Kawari met each other.
In the meeting, al-Kawari stressed his country's support for trade with Iran and said that Qatar was ready to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of saffron processing according to international standards.
This contract, which is unique in its kind, can prevent the sale of raw saffron by having a positive effect on the domestic saffron market, and by creating added value and new and international markets for the supply of Iranian saffron, this promise is given to farmers and saffron.
Farmers will be able to feel more comfortable this year by increasing the productivity per unit level of this strategic product, not to worry about the supply and sale of their detergent.
