Tehran(IP)-The spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is his weekly presser on Monday stressed that Tehran clearly believes that using political approaches and solutions and political dialogue is necessary to resolve the differences between the Azerbaijan Republic and Armenia.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at his weekly Presser on Monday, the spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani Chafi considered the political resolution of Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia and using the regional frame work together with the efforts made to achieve good neighborliness policy. the bey way to  solve the political crises between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran's clear position regarding the developments in the South Caucasus region has been officially stated many times at different levels and there is no ambiguity about it."

He further explained;" Unfortunately, since Tuesday of last week, we witnessed the beginning of new border conflicts between the two countries of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, which has led to the death and injury of a large number of both sides."

Nasser Kanaani went on to say that based on the neighborhood policy and trying to help constructively to resolve regional crises, Iran started political efforts as soon as possible. In this connection, the Prime Minister of Armenia had a conversation with the President of Iran and the President expressed the views and positions of Iran and conveyed his political recommendations to the Armenian side. Then the Iranian Foreign Minister had a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart.

Iran doesn't not rule out nuclear talks on sidelines of UN meeting

The Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to a question about the accompany of Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri with the president, Kanaani said: The trip of the president and his delegation to participate in the 77th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly and Bagheri also accompanies the president.

He added: There are no pre-planned negotiations regarding sanctions lifting within the framework of this trip and summit, but naturally, international meetings are always a good opportunity for political meetings, marginal talks between officials, and an opportunity to exchange opinions. 

 

 

Kanaani noted: I do not rule out the possibility that there will be talks on the nuclear issue on the sidelines of the meeting, Iran utilizes every opportunity to express its views.

In another part, he said that talks with the parties to lift the sanctions are possible, and they can take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting.

Iran's approach is to avoid Afghan-Afghan conflicts

 Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani stated: "Iran's approach is to avoid Afghan-Afghan conflicts and to form an inclusive political framework for the formation of a united and inclusive government.

 

 

In his presser on Monday, Kanaani noted, "Iran's relations with Afghanistan's governing body and other groups were formed in this direction. Our relationship with the Afghan parties is established and Iran's political positions in relation to the internal developments of Afghanistan and the events that are happening in this country are based on helping to create stability and peace and preventing Afghan-Afghan conflicts. We will continue our political efforts in this direction."

Iran monitores carefully developments, conflicts in in the South Caucasus

In response to a question about US senator Nancy Pelosi's visit to Armenia and support for Armenia and calling the Republic of Azerbaijan an occupier and the presence of the United States in the Caucasus, the spokesperson stated: "We look the development between these two countries in the framework of Iran's principled and declared political view of the developments in the South Caucasus and the conflict.

 

 

The escalation of tensions and instability in the South Caucasus will not serve the interests of any of the involved and neighboring countries. The thing that solves the crisis is the dialogue between the two countries and the use of regional capacities to stabilize stability in the region. Any party that wants to make a statement in the region should try to help create peace and stability."

He added: "Peace, stability and security in the region are necessary for economic development and prosperity of economic and commercial relations. We consider any approach outside of this provocative and we do not accept fueling instability in the region."

Iran's relations with Lebanon, friendly

Regarding the visit of a team from the Ministry of Energy of Lebanon to conclude a contract in the field of fuel, the spokesperson of the foreign ministry also said: "The relations between Iran and the government and people of Lebanon are friendly and Iran has always tried to help solve Lebanon's problems, including problems political, and especially in the last two years, to help solve Lebanon's economic problems, especially in the field of energy, to play a constructive role.

 

 

Iran has relations with the Lebanese government within the framework of friendly and constructive relations and the development of bilateral cooperation with this country and has held talks with the Lebanese Ministry of Energy. Supporting friendly governments and helping to solve their problems is on the agenda. Iran, according to its capacities, is definitely ready to help solve Lebanon's problems in accordance with mutual interests and with the negotiations between the two countries, and the ground for economic aid to Lebanon will be provided." 

He said: "There is no debate for cost-free fuel. We hope that the upcoming negotiations between the two countries will help meet the needs of the Lebanese people."

Hamas-Syria ties on track of development

The Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: The recent years' developments indicated that Israel is the main threat to the regional countries, including Syria, and all parties believe in convergence for the protection of peace.

In his weekly press conference on Monday, Nasser Kanaani pointed to the weakened ties between Syria and the Palestinian Hamas movement and said the relations between the two were getting warm thanks to the efforts of the regional parties, including Iran, Lebanon's Hezbollah, and Russia. 

 

 

Kanaani also said the Syrian government was a good host for the Palestinian resistance groups, particularly, but their relations got cold to some degree in recent years due to Syria's coping with the terrorist group. 

The convergence, he noted, was in the interests of the nations of the region and the oppressed Palestinian people, one that helped to strengthen the position of Palestine against the Israeli regime.

Convergence between the resistance groups could help to strengthen the peace and stability, and security of the region, the spokesman stated.
