Tehran (IP) - Within the week ending on September 16, 2022, the IME witnessed a trade of 2,544,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly 609 million USD, logging growths of 28% and 31% in volume and value of trades compared with the week before that.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,007,000 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 357 million USD.

On this floor, the IME sold 1,113,380 tonnes of cement, 345,000 tonnes of iron ore, 382,942 tonnes of steel, 139,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 16,745 tonnes of zinc, 8,225 tonnes of aluminum, 8,710 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 200 tonnes of coke and 29 kg of gold bars. It's worth noting that the IME also traded 2 units of apartments on its real estate trading floor.

Furthermore, the IME saw on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 526,752 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 245 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 92,389 tonnes of polymeric products, 217,050 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 48,900 tonnes of lube cut, 30,877 tonnes of chemicals, 1,800 tonnes of sulfur, 4,964 tonnes of base oil, 250 tonnes of insulation, and 129,168 tonnes of bitumen.

The IME also traded within the same week 10,265 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
