Tehran (IP) - A massive crowd of people in the Iranian capital of Tehran took part in a procession on Saturday morning in commemoration of Arbaeen.

Iran Press/Iran news: Pilgrims from different parts of the world arrive in Iraq to participate in the most significant event in the world, Arbaeen March, walking there toward the holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala city.

Today, Safar 20, September 17, is the occasion of Arbaeen, which is 40 days after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in Karbala.

Tehran residents, calling themselves those “Left Behind” (for not having had the opportunity to take part in the annual Arbaeen march in Iraq), walk long distances from different parts of the city to Rey (Abdul Azim Hassani Shrine) on Arbaeen.

Like in Iraq, in Tehran also, Moukibs have been set up to welcome people with food, excellent syrups, and tea.
