Tehran (IP) - The collective mourning ceremony of the student delegations from all across Iran will be held on the Arbaeen of the martyrdom of Aba Abdullah al-Hussein (A.S) on Saturday morning at Imam Khomeini's (RA.) hosseiniya in the presence of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

According to Iran press report on Wednesday, on the occasion of the Arbaeen of the martyrdom of Hazrat Aba Abdullah al-Hussein (peace be upon him) and his faithful companions, a mass mourning ceremony is scheduled to be held by student delegations from all over the country, on Saturday morning, 17 September 2021, at Imam Khomeini's hosseiniya in the presence of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

In this ceremony, the prominent cleric Masoud Aali will deliver a speech, and Maytham Motiei will deliver a eulogy on the plight of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

Every year, on the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Hussein ibn Ali, millions of people from across the world march to the city of Karbala in Iraq, where the holy shrine of the Imam is located. 

These days, a manifestation of love for Imam Hussein (AS) and friendship and unity between the followers of the third Shia Imam can be seen on the route of the Arbaeen Husseini (AS) march in Iraq.

Arbaeen Hosseini's (PBUH) pilgrimage is the most extensive religious ritual in the Muslim world, which is unprecedented in terms of the number of participants and the scope of the event throughout history.
