Iran PressEurope:

The visit, which comes at the invitation of the Russian Foreign Ministry, will last for several days and aims to discuss prospects for bilateral relations to serve the Palestinian cause.

The Hamas delegation, including Hamas deputy chief Saleh al-Arouri and politburo members Mousa Abu Marzouq and Maher Salah, addressed the developments concerning the Palestinian cause at the political and field levels.

During the meeting, the delegation asserted the Palestinian people’s rights to resist the occupation with all means possible and access their natural resources, particularly natural gas.

The visit comes "at a very important time at the level of the region and the world, as international developments and changes related to the region and their effects on the Palestinian cause will be discussed," Al-Nono added, praising at the same time the relationship with Russia and its stances on Palestine.

Reaffirming their rejection of US attempts to integrate the Israeli occupation into the Arab region, the delegation confirmed that the movement is working on cementing its ties with the neighboring Arab and Muslim states and international parties supportive of the Palestinian people.

Meanwhile, the high-level Hamas delegation held a lengthy meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, during which they discussed matters of mutual concern. 219
