Kabul (IP) – One year has passed since the withdrawal of the last US troops from Afghanistan, which took place in the middle of the night and had comprehensive media coverage worldwide.

Iran PressAsia: The United States, which occupied the territory of Afghanistan for 20 years, finally left this country overnight when the Taliban entered Kabul and became the ruler of Afghanistan, leaving no achievements for the Afghans except ruin and poverty.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, said on the first anniversary of the end of the US occupation in Afghanistan: "We are proud that Afghanistan was freed from the US occupation on this day and the US forces were driven from the Afghan soil."

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the end of the US occupation in Afghanistan, Iran Press correspondent in Kabul talked to a number of citizens and asked their opinion about the end of the US occupation in Afghanistan.

Afghan people believe the US left their country with complete failure

While welcoming the end of the US occupation in Afghanistan, these Afghan citizens living in Kabul emphasized that the US left Afghanistan with humility and failure because the truth is victorious over the wrong.

Afghan citizens considered the reason for the US defeat in Afghanistan to be the resistance of Muslim people in this country for several decades and said that the people of Afghanistan would never tolerate colonialism.

At the end of the interview, the people of Afghanistan, referring to the economic and livelihood problems, asked the United States to release the frozen money of the Afghan nation.

A member of the Taliban also told the Iran Press reporter that with the departure of the last US soldier from Afghanistan, another honor was achieved for Afghans and future generations.

He said that Afghanistan is the land of Jihad and resistance, and the Afghan Mujahideen, with light weapons, quietly drove the US soldiers out of Afghanistan.

The last US soldier left Afghanistan on August 31, 2021, at night through Kabul airport.
