Middle East(IP)- Iran's foreign minister emphasized on perusing the condition of all Iranian pilgrims in Iraq.

Iran PressIran news: On Monday, after the statement of Muqtada al-Sadr's resignation from political activities in Iraq, pro-Sadr protesters stormed the presidential palace in Baghdad's Green Zone.

The Iraqi media announced that 12 people were killed and 200 others were injured in the demonstration and protest rally on Monday in the green zone of Baghdad.

Hours later, after the security forces took control of the presidential palace, Moqtada Sadr's supporters began to withdraw from Baghdad's Green zone.

According to Iran Press Tuesday morning report, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian followed up on the latest health and safety situation of Iranian pilgrims in a phone call with Iran's Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem AleSadegh.

Appreciating the efforts of the Embassy and Consulates General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized following up on the condition of all Iranian pilgrims in Iraq.
