Tehran (IP) - The Islamic Republic of Iran and Bolivia held the first joint economic commission here in Tehran on Sunday, reaching an agreement on scientific, educational, and technical cooperation, energy, technology, and transportation.

Iran PressIran news: Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of Foreign Affairs, said that the meeting was in line with the development and expansion of Iran's economic cooperation with Latin American countries.

"The foreign policy of the 13th government is based on the doctrine of balanced foreign policy, dynamic diplomacy, and intelligent interaction, and within the framework of this doctrine, the government looks at expanding economic relations and diversifying its international relations with aligned countries in all parts of the world," Safari stated.

He added: "The first joint commission for economic cooperation with Bolivia was hosted by the Ministry of Economy of Iran in order to develop a road map for the cooperation of the executive institutions of the two countries for the next year."

Safari explained that a wide range of issues, including cooperation in commercial, customs, visa, scientific and educational, technical and engineering fields, cooperation of industrial companies, automobile manufacturing, tractor manufacturing, energy, technology, and transportation, and the final document was signed by the competent authorities.
