Iraqi official:

Urmia (IP) – The customs officer of the Raprin Department of Sulaymaniyah Province of Kurdistan Region of Iraq evaluated the consultation and dialogue with the officials of West Azerbaijan Province in Iran's Urmia as positive and essential.

Iran PressIran News: A delegation from the Customs Department of Raprin Province of Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, recently visited Urmia, the capital of West Azerbaijan Province of Iran and discussed removing obstacles to expanding economic cooperation.

In an interview with the Iran Press reporter in Urmia, Jawar Rasol elaborated on the results of consultations with the officials of West Azerbaijan Province; the critical issue is the official commute of passengers from the Kele border and turning it into an international border.

The customs officer of the Raprin Department of Sulaymaniyah Province of Kurdistan Region of Iraq stated that in consultation with the officials of West Azerbaijan Province, an understanding was reached on 13 issues, and in the next few days, it would be signed by West Azerbaijan Province and Raprin Customs of Sulaymaniyah Province.

He said that for better economic relations between Iran and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the Kurdish delegation met with Iranian companies and discussed imports and export and the introduction of the Kele border.

Jawar Rasol added that Iran is more willing to formalize the Kele border because the people on both sides of the border have suffered many hardships and have to travel a large area for a trip.
