Iran Press/ Iran News: Founded in 1965 in Iran, the MKO was labeled as the organization of “hypocrites” by the Iranian people a few years after the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The MKO has carried out mass terrorist actions, including the detonation of a bomb at the office of the Islamic Republic Party that led to the killing of 72 officials, the then Chief Justice of Iran Mohammad Beheshti being among them. The MKO’s terrorist operations also included bombing the offices of the President and Prime Minister of Iran in 1981 and the late assassination of high-ranking military commanders.
Terrorism is the deepest challenge in human life, which is a threat to the world's peace and security, and millions of people have faced difficulties in their lives due to such issues.
Iran's Parliament hosted the 7th conference in support and honor of the victims of terrorism on Sunday afternoon in Tehran.
Fattah Ahmadi, the Deputy for Human Rights and International Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, pointed out that international terrorism is one of the biggest challenges of humanity and said: "We expect the international community to investigate the terrorism as a phenamenon."
Fattah Ahmadi added: "Iran's government expects all the governments that are victims of terrorism in some way to come up with mechanisms to deal with this issue."
Ahmadi said: "The French government should be accountable toward the Iranian nation for sheltering the MKO terrorists; six cases in this regard are under investigation, and we hope that the number of these cases will increase."
Following the ceremony, some representatives of the parliament spoke about the terrorism and expressed their opinions and comments as well.
Mojtaba Zonnori, a member of the National Security Commission of Iran's Parliamnt said: "State terrorism is the reason for the misery of nations, and the United Nations must be concerned about the perpetrators of such acts.
He added: "The Zionist regime is a clear example of terrorism, which cannot do anything without the support of Europe and the United States."
"Inger Marie Venniz", the Head of the United Nations Intelligence Center in Iran, was also present at the ceremony and while reading the statement, she listened to speeches of the families of the victims of terrorism present at the ceremony.
