Iran Press/ Sci & Tech: Iran participated in the tournament in two teams. The first team won the first place with 5 gold medals, and the second one won 4 gold medals and one silver medal.
Mehdi Ostadmohammadi, Sepehr Salamat, Mohammad Mehdi Abedian, Farhad Azizi Sattari, Yousef Mir Yousefi, Sahand Esmaeilzadeh, Sahand Akramipour, Aria Ghanbari, Arsam Majed won the gold medal and Alireza Alaei won the silver medal.
250 students from 45 countries participated in the competition.
The Iranian team won 2 golds, 5 silvers, 2 bronzes, and 1 honorary diploma in last year's 2021 competition hosted by Colombia.
