Al-Aqsa Friday Payer leader:

Al-Quds (IP) - The Friday Prayer leader of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds said that the fire is still burning in the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, but the Palestinian people will defend this Islamic mosque.

Iran PressMiddle East: Sheikh Yusuf Juma Salameh, the former Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of Palestine, in an interview with the Iranpress correspondent in Quds on the occasion of the anniversary of the setting of fire to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969, stated that the Zionist leaders are trying to show their dominance over the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the division of this religious place.

Sheikh "Youssef Juma Salameh" emphasized that Al-Aqsa Mosque is an Islamic mosque and non-Muslims have no right to it, and the responsibility of defending and protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque is not limited to the Palestinian people, and all Muslims are responsible for it.

The Friday Prayer Leader of Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque stated that the Zionists continue to occupy the Palestinian land and clarified that Arabs and Muslims must expose the Israel regime's crimes to the world's public opinion and international assemblies.

The former minister of endowments and religious affairs of Palestine said that the world has closed its eyes to the attacks of the Zionists on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and said that the Palestinian people are steadfast in defending their rights and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation named August 21 every year the International Day of Mosques; On this day, the Zionists set fire to Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Quds.

On August 21, 1969, the Al-Aqsa Mosque was set on fire by Dennis Michael Rohan, a radical Zionist, and this action has been part of the policies of the Israel regime since 1948 to destroy Islamic culture, religion, and civilization in the occupied Al-Quds.

The burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque angered Muslims, and various Islamic countries condemned this action. By issuing Resolution 271 in 1969, the UN Security Council condemned the Israel regime for setting fire to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Fifty-three years have passed since the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Al-Quds; the first Qibla of Muslims is still facing various conspiracies of the Israeli regime.

The temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the daily raids of the Zionists and rabbis on the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the imprisonment of Palestinians, and the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland, especially the occupation of Al-Quds, are Zionist plans for the Judaization of Al-Quds Sharif and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

With the support of the United States, some European countries, and Arab compromisers, the Israel regime has intensified its attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Palestinian areas, including Gaza.

The continuance of the Israel regime's crimes shows that the international community has not taken any effective action to support the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people, and the Palestinian people, knowing this, stand firm in defending their rights and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
