Following the official visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, high-ranking officials of the two countries signed 12 cooperation documents after holding a joint meeting Sunday afternoon to facilitate bilateral cooperation.

In a joint press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Iranian President expressed Iranian government appreciation for the positions of the government, parliament, parties, political movements, scholars, and people of Pakistan in supporting the Islamic Republic of Iran against Zionist-American terrorist aggression.
Referring to the extensive potential in bilateral relations, Pezeshkian said: "I deeply believe that we can easily and in a short time increase the volume of trade relations between Iran and Pakistan from the current $3 billion to the projected $10 billion."
The Pakistani Prime Minister in his turn stressed that Tehran and Islamabad have a common goal in combating terrorism, and said: "We do not accept any form of terrorist attack on Iran; therefore, we must protect the shared border of several hundred kilometers between the two countries and resolutely confront any form of terrorist activity."
