Mohammad Saeed also knocked out his Albanian rival with an ippon throw on tatami (the judo mat).
Still, in the women's section, Maryam Barbat knocked out her rival from Senegal with an ippon throw.
Iran's judo team will face Turkmenistan and Pakistan's teams.
The judo competitions in Konya Games 2021 began on Monday. It is the first time that the Iranian judokas come on tatami in a formal event after three years.
Currently, Iran's judo is going through a suspension period.
