Turkiye (IP) - The Iranian free-style wrestlers finished their work on Thursday in the 5th edition of Islamic Solidarity Games 2021 underway, Konya, Turkiye, bagging five golds, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes.

Iran PressIran Sports: In the 79 kg weight category finals, Ali Savadkoohi won over Turkish wrestler Muhammet Akdeniz 12-6 and snatched the gold medal.  

Still, in 86 kg, Alireza Karimi overcame his Azerbaijani rival Abubakr Abakarov 9-0 and snatched gold.

Ahmad Bazri defeated the Turkish wrestler Erhan Yaylacı on Thursday evening 7-1 and won the gold medal in the 92 kg weight category. 

Mojtaba Goleij won over Mustafa Sessiz from Turkiye 2-0 and snatched the gold medal.

In the 125 kg weight category, Mahdi Hashemi defeated Salim Ercan of Turkiye 8-0 and snatched the gold medal.

Hashemi knocked out his Turkmen rival Seferov 10-0 earlier in the semi-finals.

In the 70 kg weight category, Hossein Abouzari was defeated by his Kyrgyz rival, a holder of the world silver medal, and snatched the silver medal of the Konya games. 

In 74 kg, Mohammad Sadegh Firouzpour was defeated by Turan Bayramov of Azerbaijan 1-2 in the finals, winning the silver medal.

In the 61 kg weight category, Majid Dastan, who was overcome by the Azerbaijani wrestler Islam Bazarganov 0-10, defeated Mohammad Belal of Pakistan 6-3 in the ranking games and won the bronze medal. 

Also, in the ranking games, 65 kg category, Morteza Ghiyasi defeated his Uzbek rival Omid Jalalov 4-2 and snatched the bronze medal.

Reza Momeni was overcme by his Tajik rival Hikmatollah Vahidov 4-6.
