Iran's minister of communications and information technology and Kazakhstan's minister of digital development, and space innovations in a meeting in Nur-Sultan city, emphasized the need for broadening mutual cooperation.

Iran PressAsia: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Isa Zarepour on his second and last day of visit to Kazakhstan, met and conferred with Baghdat Mussin, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the official bilateral meeting, the two sides emphasized the need for further broadening bilateral cooperation on issues of mutual interest in telecommunications, information technology, and space engineering fields.

Cooperation in the development of a smart government in Iran, keeping in mind that Kazakhstan is one of the advanced countries in the electronic government field, and also cooperation in space industries, including the space infrastructures of both countries, scientific and research cooperation in the space field, and manufacturing joint satellites were among the issues of discussion.

Also, ways for the broader presence of Iranian companies in Kazakhstan were discussed, which was welcomed by the Kazakh minister, and it was agreed that in a month’s time an exhibition will be held in Kazakhstan in which the Iranian companies will put on display their products for presentation and sales.

Zarepour in the meeting also officially invited his Kazakh counterpart for a visit to Iran at his earliest convenient opportunity, which was accepted by him. 219
