Qom (IP) - The holy Shrine of 'Fatima Masumah' (AS) in the holy city of Qom has been covered in black since the beginning of the month of Muharram; Every year, the holy shrine host Iranian and foreign Hosseini pilgrims day and night.

Iran PressIran News: The presence of mourning delegations and religious lectures about the dimensions of the Ashura uprising are among the daily programs of the mourning ceremony at the Holy Shrine of Fatima Masumah.

Fatima Masumeh was the sister of the eighth Shia Imam, Imam Reza, and the daughter of the seventh Imam Musa al-Kadhim.

Her shrine is located in the city of Qom and is among Iran's most sacred religious places.

People from all walks of life, including the young generation and teenagers, are attending the mourning ceremony of Imam Hussein (as) in the holy shrine.

Mourners from across Iran show their love and devotion to Imam Hossein (as) in different ways during the mourning days of Muharram.

Distributing food and beverages, setting up religious gatherings, and holding mourning ceremonies are part of the people of Iran's customs to mark Ashura uprising.

These days, the black flag of Imam Hosain (as) has been hoisted wherever you look in the Islamic homeland.

The mourning ceremony of the "Lord of the Martyrs" (Imam Hussein) (PBUH) and his companions is underway from the beginning of the month of Muharram in the mosques and religious confraternities of Qom with a large attendance of people and especially youth.

Imam Hossein or Al-Hossein Ibn Ali (PBUH), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad and third Shia Imam, was martyred on the 10th day of the month of Muharram by Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad's army in the Battle of Karbala in 61 AH (680 CE).

Muslims, especially Shias, every year mark Tasua, Ashura, and Arbaeen.

Ashura is the ten-day of Muharram, which is a coincidence with the martyrdom of Imam Hussein.
