Gaza (IP) – Palestinian resistance groups and residents of the Gaza Strip gathered to support the Palestinian prisoner Khalil Awada's resistance to the Israeli regime.

Iran PressMiddle East: The gathering was held on Monday evening at the request of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement. Khalil Awada has been on hunger strike for more than 142 days in the prison of the Israeli regime.

Khidr Habib, one of the PIJ leaders, said at a rally in support of a Palestinian prisoner in Gaza that the Israeli enemy would pay for any damage caused to Palestinian prisoners.

He stated that the occupation regime's indifference to the release of Khalil Awada shows the intention of this regime to execute the Palestinian prisoner.

Khidr Habib added that the Israeli regime is ready to fight the Palestinian people with three methods of arrest, deportation and massacre, noting that administrative detention is illegal and Palestinian prisoners are detained without charge.

He also criticized the international community for its silence on the crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people and called on the Palestinians to stage a nationwide rally in support of the Palestinian prisoners.
