Tehran (IP)- The spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization announced the signing of an MoU between Iran and Russia and said: According to the MoU, the number of flights between the two countries increased to 35 per week.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic during his recent trip to Tehran.

Mirakbar Razavi, the spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization, said: On Tuesday, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia met with Captain Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh, the head of the Civil Aviation Organization, and emphasized the increase of bilateral cooperation in air transportation between the two countries.

Razavi added: It was agreed to increase passenger flights between the two countries to 35 per week.

The spokesperson stated: According to the MoU, the airlines of both sides are allowed to launch cargo flights without capacity restrictions.

Razavi added: It was also decided to sign a memorandum to export spare parts from Iran to Russia.
