(IP) - An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 on the richer scale jolted Iran’s Khamir Port in the southern Hormuzgan Province on Monday evening.

Iran PressIran News: According to Tehran University Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at 20:25 local time, and at a depth of 14 km.

There are no reports of possible casualties and damage as of yet.

The earthquake's epicenter has a 32-kilometer distance from Khamir Port and 104 kilometers away from Bandar Abbas, the capital city of Hormuzgan Province.

On Saturday night, the same area was also jolted by two tremors measuring 5.8 and 5.7 magnitude.
