Damascus (IP) - The third exhibition of Syrian oil and petrochemical industries with the participation of 52 Syrian and foreign companies, including Iranians, kicked off in Damascus.

Iran PressMiddle East: At the inauguration of the exhibition, which was held in the presence of the Iranian ambassador to Damascus, Mahdi Sobhani, the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources of Syria, Bassam Tomeh, stated that the purpose of Damascus in holding such exhibitions is to attract investment from companies of friendly countries to find technologies from different countries to help the Syrian oil sector.

Mehdi Sobhani also highlighted that eight large Iranian companies have participated in the exhibition, among which some export their products to more than 80 countries that are active in oil, gas, petrochemicals, and oil equipment.

The Iranian envoy noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has good and valuable experience in oil, gas and petrochemicals and has reached self-sufficiency in these fields.

He also underlined that Iran could generally cooperate with Syrian companies and companies present in the exhibition.

The exhibition of Syrian oil and petrochemical industries is held for three days, and companies can participate and cooperate in Syrian projects by presenting their facilities and capabilities.
