Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani

Tehran (IP)- The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned Israel's early morning (Friday) missile attack on some areas of Syria in the suburbs of Damascus.

Iran PressIran News: Ten people were injured and martyred in the attack.

The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani, added: "The continuous aggression and attacks of the Zionist regime on Syria are a clear violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and a flagrant violation of recognized international principles and regulations."

Expressing his surprise and regret at the questionable silence of the responsible international organizations as well as those who claim to defend human rights regarding the illegal behavior of the Zionist regime, Kanani said: "The international community, especially the UN Security Council (UNSC) should take responsibility for the ongoing crimes and dangerous behaviors of the regime."

"The repeated attacks of the Zionist regime on Syria are a breach of this country's sovereignty and territorial integrity and will help armed terrorists and maintain and strengthen their presence in Syria, which actually threatens the security of the region," Kanani said.

Syria's Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday that at least three Syrian soldiers were killed and seven more wounded in the Israeli strike targeting the outskirts of Damascus.
