Russia (IP) -The operator of a key gas pipeline from Russia to Europe says natural gas has resumed operation after a 10-day shutdown for maintenance.

Iran PressEurope: Russian gas started flowing to Germany via Nord Stream early on Thursday after technical maintenance works at the pipeline that began on July 11 were carried out, according to TASS.

A Nord Stream AG operator representative said: “Gas is flowing again.”

The company added that it would take some time for the gas pipeline to be up and running at its full capacity.

Nord Stream AG’s representative pointed out that gas volumes equal to those supplied via Nord Stream just before the technical maintenance of around 67 million cubic meters per day had been requested for Thursday.

This roughly equals 40% of the gas pipeline’s utilization rate.
