Abu Dhabi (IP) - Diplomatic advisor to the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) says the UAE would never welcome the formation of a coalition against any country in the region, especially Iran.

Iran PressMiddle East: Anwar Gargash stated that the UAE plans to send an ambassador to Iran and try to rebuild communication bridges with Tehran.

He made the remarks in an interview with press reporters before the visit of President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to France.

The diplomatic advisor to the UAE president underlined that confronting Iran had not been a priority for Abu Dhabi, pointing out that the UAE supports any solution that protects itself without targeting a third country.

In response to the news about the formation of an anti-Iranian coalition in the presence of Washington, Tel Aviv, and some Arab countries, Gargash said: "The UAE will never welcome the formation of a coalition and an axis against any country in the region, especially Iran."

He had earlier underlined that the UAE would not be the source of any harm to the neighboring countries, including Iran.

Also, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had recently said that a new chapter had been opened in the relations between Iran and the UAE following his short trip to Abu Dhabi.
